Oh What a night!

It’s fantastic to see London theatre coming alive once again after being closed for so, so long and no show could have been more uplifting and fun than Be More Chill. Hot on the heels of its success on Broadway it’s now ready to wow its London audiences from the Shaftesbury Theatre.

The talented young cast brought an amazing energy to every scene. We were waking up from a long hibernation and coming back in from the cold.  And we loved it.

Be More Chill tells the atypical love story of a boy, a girl….and the supercomputer inside the boy’s head guiding him every step of the way. The boy; desperate to be loved. The girl is longing to be noticed. And the supercomputer…just wants to take over the world…

We loved the music, the dancing and all the songs but our absolute favourite was definitely Michael in the Bathroom. Michael was also our very favourite character/performer. But we also fell in love with the oh so adorable Millie.

The play is based on the ground-breaking novel of the same name by Ned Vizzini. The book by Joe Tracz and the Tony Award-nominated original score with addictively catchy songs such as More than Survive, Be More Chill and the afore mentioned showstopping Michael in the Bathroom, are composed by Joe Iconis.

To sum up what can I say the talented young cast brought an amazing energy to every single scene. Never a dull moment.  The audience loved it. We loved it. We were waking up and coming back in from the cold.

Long Live Be More Chill.
